I highly recommend this course to those teachers who are committed to their work and do not mind working hard. I really enjoyed working with the Moodle program online. We worked collaboratively and had to Skype sometimes to talk to our course mates, or for tutorials with our mentors. The second part of the course, which is the face-to-face stage, is very intense. Even so, having a good support system in your course mates and the tutors made it all much easier. The tutors did a good job, were helpful and available most of the times. There are many benefits to having the Diploma, and I consider it a must-get for any teacher who is passionate about what they do.

I completed the DipTESOL in August 2012. Although I did 6 months online in Italy before the face to face part in Barcelona, I found that I was never alone and I always received excellent support and feedback from the tutors. We regularly had tutorials via skype and were in contact through email. I was also in touch with the other course participants when completing tasks. The online phase involved accessing Moodle to complete weekly tasks and use a variety of resources on the web which were very interesting. The tasks were practical and I could work through them at the times when I was free. I found the tutors very committed to their work and they are very knowledgeable and passionate about teaching. I would definitely recommend this course.

If asked if I would do the Dip TESOL course again with Oxford TEFL, my answer would be, “definitely”. (Fortunately, I passed, so I don’t have to). It was an extremely rewarding experience and, although perhaps it didn’t seem so mid essay writing, a thoroughly enjoyable one, too. The tutors and staff at Oxford TEFL were supportive and made sure we had every opportunity to succeed. The virtual learning area for the online component was an excellent platform for discussing topics and sharing work with the tutors and other course participants. The course has really benefitted me as a teacher; I feel I can better identify and address my students’ needs. The qualification has helped me to get the job I wanted and move up the career ladder and, even though I completed the course back in 2009, what I learnt continues to influence what I do today. I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to make a TESOL Diploma the next step in their ELT professional development.

I completed the course in 2006, and since then my career has gone from strength to strength. I particularly enjoyed interacting and working together with teachers who were working all over the world. The support we received from the course tutors was excellent, and in fact I am still in touch with a couple of them today.

I highly recommend this course to EFL teachers who want to improve their teaching and are interested in investigating the major theory guiding ELT. I particularly appreciated combining part-time study with part-time teaching work. This gave me the chance to experiment with different approaches and to carry out research on my own ‘teaching puzzles’ with the benefit of feedback and guidance from the excellent Oxford TEFL tutors. One of the things that distinguishes this course is the caliber of the tutors, who are accomplished trainers, authors and innovators in the field. The Oxford TEFL tutors are highly committed to their own professional development and often collaborate with others at the forefront of ELT. This means Diploma trainees benefit from their exceptional breadth of experience and quality insight.
